Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Equipment Operator to join our team at Helena Agri-Enterprises, LLC. As a key member of our agronomy solutions team, you will be responsible for applying herbicides and pesticides to labeled crops, operating and maintaining applicator equipment, and performing routine maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mix and apply pesticides, fertilizers, and chemicals to crops in accordance with recommended guidelines.
  • Operate and maintain applicator equipment, including tractors, sprayers, and other machinery.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and lubricating equipment, and replacing parts as needed.
  • Keep accurate records of application activities, including log books and field maps.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain pesticide applicator certification.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and effective application processes.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience operating large equipment, such as tractors and sprayers, is essential.
  • Must be at least 18 years old to operate Helena equipment and/or drive a company vehicle.
  • A Class A or B CDL is required for this position.
  • Must pass a drug test and background check.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform routine maintenance tasks.
  • Qualified Applicator Certificate (QAC) is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Agricultural background and knowledge of crop protection practices.
  • Ability to read field maps and use tractor-mounted field computers.
Work Environment

This position requires working in a typical warehouse and distribution environment with moderate to loud noise levels. You will be regularly exposed to moving equipment, fumes, airborne particles, and chemical hazards. You must be able to lift or move up to 100 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
