A strong emphasis will be placed on sourcing from a diverse global supplier network, nurturing both new and existing supplier partnerships, and ensuring a sustainable and ethical supply chain for essential raw materials.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Formulate, oversee, and execute sourcing strategies.
  • Ensure exceptional service levels both internally and externally.
  • Take full ownership of the procurement cycle for material sourcing.
  • Contribute to comprehensive spend and market analysis across various categories.
  • Explore and implement cost-reduction strategies through alternative supplier sourcing and improved payment terms.
  • Stay informed about market dynamics and material supply challenges, proactively communicating critical information to relevant stakeholders.
  • Engage with stakeholders to maximize value from supply arrangements.
  • Conduct effective negotiations to manage risks and ensure value for money.
  • Oversee pricing systems for designated product categories.
  • Travel to visit suppliers and attend industry events as necessary.
  • Utilize available resources and systems to maintain optimal inventory levels and ensure supply continuity.
  • Provide training and presentations to internal stakeholders to enhance product and market knowledge.
  • Foster strong relationships with suppliers and key stakeholders.
  • Identify and evaluate new suppliers to secure cost-effective sourcing and mitigate risks.
  • Support procurement objectives and contribute to the development of the procurement function.
  • Mentor junior buyers globally and perform additional tasks as required.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or agricultural economics preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or a related supply chain role.
