Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse

Children's Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking a skilled and compassionate Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Job Summary:

The Operating Room Registered Nurse will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and maintaining a safe and efficient operating room environment. Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care in the operating room, ensuring a safe and effective experience for patients and families.
  • Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care, including patient assessment, medication administration, and wound care.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care, including medical histories, treatment plans, and outcomes.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research, technologies, and best practices in pediatric nursing.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of safety and excellence.
Requirements:
  • 1 year of experience in an operating room setting, unless enrolling in Periop 101 program.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.
  • Experience in pediatrics, preferred.
  • Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the single State of Georgia or Multi-State through the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Pediatric Emergency Assessment Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS) certification within 1 year of employment, as required by department.
