Operating Room Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our team at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. As a key member of our interdisciplinary healthcare team, you will provide direct patient care in a safe and effective manner, promoting quality patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Perform the nursing process while providing direct patient care, ensuring a safe and effective environment for patients and families.
- Function as a member of the interdisciplinary healthcare team, collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, incorporating evidence-based practices and research findings to promote optimal patient outcomes.
- Provide education and support to patients and families, empowering them to take an active role in their healthcare.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and contributing to the development of solutions.
- 1 year of experience in an operating room setting, or enrollment in the Periop 101 program.
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Georgia or through the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Pediatric Emergency Assessment Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS) certification within 1 year of employment.
