Job Title: Simulation Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Simulation Engineer to join our Engineering team at Trident Maritime Systems. As a Simulation Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, testing, and improving our manufacturing processes for custom forgings, pipes, fittings, and heat treatment processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with a design team to design tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures required by the production process.
  • Utilize computer-assisted design (CAD) software to create preliminary and detailed drawings of fixtures, dies, and products.
  • Employ advanced simulation software (DEFORM 3D) to predict and visualize the manufacturing design.
  • Develop process routers and prototypes of products to test the design.
  • Analyze test data, compare it with computer simulation results, and modify the simulation as needed.
  • Support other engineers in developing manufacturing routers for the production process.
  • Develop control systems and monitor production.
  • Assist sales and marketing in preparing documentation for project bidding and quoting.
Requirements:
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent mechanical and technical skills.
  • Experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Office, and Excel.
  • Industrial or finite-element modeling experience with DEFORM, QFORM, FORGE, or other simulation software is highly preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Education and/or Experience:
  • B.S. Mechanical Engineering required; M.S. preferred.
  • 2 (two) years of related experience preferred.
  • Experience with DEFORM or other process simulation software.
