Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Savannah Christian Preparatory School. The successful candidate will be responsible for working with wood to build and repair structures and other items, as well as selecting and sourcing appropriate materials depending on project needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cut and trim wood to build and repair structures and other items.
  • Select and source materials for projects.
  • Perform routine maintenance duties such as applying plaster and fixing fountains.
  • Shovel snow from walkways and sprinkle ice to prevent slipping.
  • Perform minor repairs and maintenance procedures on equipment used in grounds keeping.
  • Install lawn furniture and other outdoor fixtures.
  • Rake, mulch, and prune the grounds as needed.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have experience working with wood and a strong attention to detail. They will also be able to work independently and as part of a team.
