Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Water Distribution Utility Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing water service connections, sewer collection systems, and other water distribution system components.

You will also assist in responding to emergency situations, such as water main breaks and leaks, and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the integrity of our water distribution systems.

Responsibilities

  • Operate heavy equipment, such as backhoes and trenchers, to excavate and repair water mains and other infrastructure.
  • Interact with customers in a professional manner to resolve issues and concerns.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as engineering or environmental science.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a related field, such as water treatment or utilities.
  • Strong mechanical skills and ability to operate heavy equipment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a Class A CDL license within 1 year of hire.
Working Conditions

This position requires working outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures and humidity. You will also be exposed to loud noises, dust, and other hazards associated with working around heavy equipment.

As a Water Distribution Utility Specialist, you must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work at heights. You will also be required to wear personal protective equipment, such as hard hats and safety glasses, when working on site.

Estimated Salary Range:

$65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
