Job Title: Assembler Tester III

HME is a leading manufacturer of innovative products for the drive-thru and pro-audio industries. We're seeking an experienced Assembler Tester III to join our team in a first-shift role from 5:30 am to 2:00 pm.

Job Summary:

This is a hands-on role that requires the ability to complete assignments independently and perform various electro-mechanical assemblies, tests, and inspection procedures on all products to ensure production schedules and quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble, rework, and/or reassemble products as specified on applicable documentation.
  • Verify accuracy of instruction documents, including schematics, assembly drawings, and bills of material.
  • Use a computer for data entry and input serial numbers into the mainframe.
  • Package parts into kits for shipping and label and package products, including manuals and accessories.
  • Inform supervisor or lead of work-related problems and train others in assembly, rework, and packaging processes.
  • Perform testing activities, including current checks, burn-ins, and operation of Automated Test Equipment.
  • Program boards utilizing different software according to procedure and version required.
  • Verify Part Number, Revision Level, and Quantity received and conduct routine electrical tests, sorting failed assemblies from passed assemblies.
  • Assist Team Lead with planning, inventory control, and product movement and inform the supervisor or lead of discrepancies discovered.
  • Participate in manufacturing audits of the 7S program and train others in test and inspection processes.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of electronic assembly and testing experience with a proven skillset.
  • Ability to perform moderately complex assembly operations and soldering experience required.
  • Technical expert and/or trainer in multiple skill sets of electro-mechanical assembly and basic understanding of small hand tools.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and assembly aides.
  • Technical Certification or degree preferred and basic computer skills (MS Office Suite proficiency preferred).
