Position Summary

The Artisan Pizza Chef plays a crucial role in crafting traditional roman-style pizza alla pala, adhering to our authentic Italian culinary standards. This position reports directly to the Bakery Manager.

  • Creates pizzas following precise recipes
  • Adheres to portion sizes, quality benchmarks, and departmental protocols
  • Ensures a clean and sanitary food preparation area in compliance with health regulations
  • Aims to master all aspects of pizza production across various shifts
  • Assists Sales Associates as needed and engages with customers interested in pizza-making
  • Undertakes additional responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a kitchen production role
  • Strong work ethic, effective communication, and time management abilities
Job Requirements
  • Availability for onsite work with a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
  • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to maintain a fast-paced environment for at least 8 hours, involving standing, walking, bending, and squatting
  • Experience working with wood-burning ovens, electric pizza convection ovens, and commercial mixers
