Role Responsibilities

Support the physician in fulfilling the operational needs of the practice while working within the full scope of licensure.

Qualifications
  • Valid LPN license as per the location requirements
Experience
  • Preferred one year of experience in a healthcare setting
Key Duties
  • Guide patients to examination rooms and prepare them for assessments or treatments by documenting vital signs and medical history.
  • Process prescriptions after obtaining necessary approvals from the healthcare provider.
  • Handle insurance referrals and follow up as needed.
  • Assist in maintaining departmental efficiency by covering for colleagues and performing clerical tasks as required.
  • Ensure examination and procedure rooms are stocked and orderly, ordering supplies as necessary.
  • Administer prescribed medications and document accordingly.
  • Direct patients post-examination to appropriate follow-up services.
  • Possess a foundational understanding of medications and their effects.
  • Prepare and maintain sterile environments for procedures.
  • Assist in surgical procedures as required.
  • Uphold infection control protocols and maintain cleanliness of surgical instruments.
  • Monitor and report any signs of infection to the healthcare provider.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of LPN licensure.
  • Participate in orientation and mandatory training sessions.
  • Adhere to the organization's dress code policies.
  • Engage in departmental meetings and contribute to team objectives.
