Speech-Language Pathology Assistant for Schools

Position Overview: We are seeking a committed and passionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team at Soliant. The SLPA will play a vital role in assisting licensed speech-language pathologists in providing essential services to students facing communication challenges within an educational framework.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Support speech-language pathologists in executing therapy plans and methodologies.
  • Deliver direct assistance to students during therapy sessions, both on an individual basis and in group settings.
  • Conduct speech and language evaluations under the supervision of a licensed SLP.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and therapy records.
  • Help in the creation and adjustment of therapy materials and activities.
  • Collaborate with classroom educators to provide strategies that enhance students' communication abilities.
  • Engage in team discussions and aid in the formulation of students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related discipline.
  • Current licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant in the relevant state.
  • Prior experience in a school or pediatric environment is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and organizational capabilities.
  • Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently.
