Key Responsibilities:
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels and order raw materials to meet production demands, ensuring timely delivery and minimizing stockouts.
  • Supply Chain Coordination: Coordinate the delivery and handling processes of raw materials, ensuring efficient receipt and storage.
  • Production Scheduling: Schedule and supervise the production of hardware needed for Company product molds, ensuring timely completion and quality standards.
  • Safety and Compliance: Conduct weekly safety and toolbox talks among employees, promoting a culture of safety and compliance.
  • Workforce Management: Assign work to department personnel to achieve department objectives, ensuring effective utilization of resources.
  • Process Improvement: Recommend and initiate improvements to production processes to increase manufacturing efficiency, reducing waste and improving quality.
  • Quality Control: Establish and control procedures to ensure production of conforming fabricated assembly components, meeting quality standards.
  • Cost Control: Monitor and control established procedures to ensure compliance with quality standards, reducing costs and improving efficiency.
  • Compliance and Regulatory: Establish and monitor cost control systems to achieve department budget objectives, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Employee Development: Provide training, support, direction, and guidance to department personnel, promoting employee growth and development.
  • Performance Management: Provide objective feedback for continued employee growth, recommending and administering personnel actions under company policies and procedures.
  • Departmental Goals: Set department goals and develop an outline for achievement, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Flexibility: Work overtime as requested, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced production environment.
Requirements:
  • Education: High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Preferred Education: Two or four-year college degree in a related field
  • Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of management experience in precast/prestressed concrete or related industry
  • Knowledge and Skills: In-depth knowledge of construction and fabrication procedures, with strong leadership and communication skills.
Physical Requirements:

The Fabrication Shop Supervisor must be able to:

  • Stand, twist, walk, and use various hand tools or controls
  • Reach with hands and arms, climb or balance on elevated surfaces, and stoop, kneel, squat, crouch or crawl
  • Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

The Fabrication Shop Supervisor will work in an indoor/outdoor environment with exposure to sun, heat, humidity, cold, wind, light rain, sand, dust, excessive noise, welding gases, and fumes.
