Job Description

The Main Campus of Georgia Military College is seeking adjunct professors in the English discipline. We are looking for individuals with the flexibility to teach both day and evening classes. Contracts are for 8 weeks and are renewable upon availability of classes and satisfactory job performance. This is an in-seat teaching position with classes Monday-Friday mornings.


Qualifications

For most teaching disciplines, applicants must hold a Master's degree or higher in the discipline advertised, or a Master's degree or higher in any discipline plus 18 graduate semester hours or 30 graduate quarter hours in the discipline advertised. Limited teaching opportunities exist for applicants with a Bachelor's degree or a Master's degree or higher in any discipline and relevant work or professional experience. Teaching experience is highly preferred.


Certification Types

AD-Certification Type: Advanced Degree in Qualifying Field

Master's Level or Higher Degree in a Qualifying Field as listed in the Faculty Certification Guidelines (or approved by Program Dean)

AD+CH/5-Certification Type - Advanced Degree Not in Qualifying Field

Master's Level or Higher Degree not in Qualifying Field but has 18sh (or equivalent) and/or 5 years of Relevant Work Experience in the Qualifying Field

BD+7-Certification Type - Bachelor's Degree + 7 Years of Relevant Work Experience

Holds a Bachelor's degree in the Qualifying Field and has 7 years of relevant work experience in the Qualifying Field
