About the Role

Amedisys is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team as a Hospice Caregiver. As a Hospice Caregiver, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of patients and their families by providing much-needed care in the comfort of their own homes.

Responsibilities
  • Provides personal care services to patients, including assistance with daily living activities, bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Applies safety principles and proper body mechanics to the performance of specific techniques of personal and supportive care.
  • Observes, reports, and documents any changes in patient's status, and follows specific written instructions for personal care prepared by a registered nurse in accordance with the plan of care.
  • Must be able to successfully pass the competency program of the care center.
Requirements
  • Current state certification (or registration) as a nurse assistant as per state certification/registration requirements.
  • Must be able to successfully pass the competency program of the care center.
