Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our Urology team at American Oncology Management Company. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support our physicians and RNs in the delivery of urology services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in obtaining lab samples and perform technical laboratory procedures with accuracy and precision.
  • Follow laboratory procedures for specimen handling and processing, and send outside labs to appropriate facilities as dictated by patient insurance plans.
  • Assist in maintaining test report logs, quality control logs, equipment records, and checklists according to regulatory agencies.
  • Provide patient assessment and thorough documentation in OncoEMR of treatment rendered to patients.
  • Accurately prepare superbill to charge patients for services received in office and ensure appropriate charges are captured.
  • Interact with patients and families in a caring and professional manner, educating them about medications, side effects, and planned treatment courses.
  • Assist with inventory and re-stocking medical supplies, and recommend purchase of new items as needed.
  • Attend annual Safety/OSHA training meetings and all mandatory staff meetings as necessary.
  • Maintain and ensure the confidentiality of all patient and employee information at all times.
  • Assist in training new employees to related job duties.
  • Have thorough knowledge of Nucleus medication dispensing system and oversee ordering of medical and pharmaceutical supplies.
Requirements
  • Appropriate state license as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Experience in Urology in a clinic or hospital setting.
  • Current CPR and BLS certification.
