Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled LVN Manager to join our team at Redwood Place, a Mental Health Rehabilitation Center serving adults with severe mental illness and developmental disabilities. As a key member of our nursing department, you will provide leadership and supervision to our multidisciplinary team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and services to our members.

Responsibilities
  • Implement and supervise assigned positions within the nursing department on designated shifts.
  • Provide program planning, development, review, and assessment of clinical and administrative activities.
  • Direct, coordinate, and supervise a multidisciplinary team, assigning staff to work with clients based on their individual needs and the skills and strengths of team members.
  • Provide recovery-focused services related to the safe and appropriate administration of medical treatment, including medications, as prescribed by physicians.
  • Establish and maintain a therapeutic relationship with members served, providing nursing care and assisting in welcoming, admissions, and discharge processes.
  • Collect data relevant to member care, develop and implement care plans, and demonstrate knowledge of crisis management and intervention.
  • Transcribe physician orders accurately and in a timely manner, administer medications and treatments, and adhere to medication management policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate and participate in counting medications and giving report at the beginning and end of each shift, and notify the prescriber and nursing supervisor of any changes in behavior or condition.
  • Document progress toward Recovery Plan goals, attend and participate in community meetings and groups, and actively participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and treatment planning meetings.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited LVN or LPT program and current licensure.
  • Current CPR/BLS certificate.
  • Two years of LVN/LPT/LPN experience in a healthcare environment.
  • One year of supervisory experience or completion of Telecare assigned Supervisory training within 12 months.
  • Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification on date of employment or within 60 days of employment and maintain current certification throughout employment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience working with the population to be served and/or in a similar program setting.
  • Understanding of psychiatric illness and its treatment, and knowledge of psychotropic medication.
Working Conditions

The physical demands of this position include sitting, squatting, kneeling, twisting, pushing, pulling, and lifting items weighing 25 pounds or less, as well as frequent walking, standing, bending, reaching, and doing simple and power grasping. The position requires manual dexterity, repetition, and hazardous exposure to blood-borne pathogens, hospital waste, chemicals, and infectious materials.
