**Job Title:** Cloud Technology Director

**Job Summary:** We are seeking an experienced Cloud Technology Director to join our team at Vermont Mutual. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading software development teams and driving technological innovation in cloud-based platforms.

As a key member of our leadership team, the Cloud Technology Director will be responsible for guiding the technical direction of our engineering team and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions on cloud-based platforms.

The ideal candidate will have excellent technical skills, strong leadership abilities, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

**Key Responsibilities:*

  • Lead and manage a team of 6-12 software engineers in the development and maintenance of our technology capabilities on cloud-based platforms.
  • Guide developers on coding best practices, design patterns, code reviews, security, unit tests, and modern cloud-driven development practices.
  • Provide thought leadership on development platform strategy and toolsets by researching applicable new technologies and making purchase recommendations.
  • Plan, implement, supervise, coordinate, monitor, and evaluate software development and maintenance activities and projects on cloud-based platforms.
  • Assist in planning and administering Information Technology department operating budgets that pertain to assigned areas of responsibility.

**Requirements:**

* Bachelor's degree in computer science or other appropriate discipline, plus 5 to 7 years of relevant technical and management/supervisory experience, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired.

* Experience as a manager, technical lead, or project lead within software development.

* Excellent communication skills - interpersonal, oral, written, and presentation.

**Estimated Salary:** $135,000 - $160,000 per year.
