We are seeking a skilled and experienced HVAC Residential Service Technician to join our team at Southwood Realty. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for installing, inspecting, and repairing our customers' heating, cooling, and ventilation systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Travel to properties daily as scheduled to perform maintenance and repair services.
- Determine customer needs and discuss with management as needed to ensure effective solutions.
- Install new heating, cooling, and ventilation systems to meet customer requirements.
- Inspect current HVAC systems for effectiveness and safety to identify areas for improvement.
- Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC systems to increase longevity and efficiency.
- Keep accurate records of customer appointments and maintenance activities.
- May require out-of-town and overnight travel to service customers.
- Maintain accurate inventory of all equipment and HVAC resources to ensure seamless operations.
- Collaborate with management and other team members to achieve operational excellence.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of apprenticeship under a journeyperson or equivalent experience in the HVAC industry.
- Certification through the Environmental Protection Agency to handle and transport refrigerants is required.
- Previous on-the-job training or experience in HVAC is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to resolve complex HVAC issues.
- A valid state driver's license is required for travel to customer sites.
- Punctuality and adherence to a daily schedule with multiple appointments in different locations.
- Familiarity with HVAC tools and equipment, including ductwork and electrical connections.
- Ductwork experience and knowledge of electrical and plumbing connections of HVAC equipment are a plus.
- Ability to work in a team environment and maintain a professional demeanor.
- Willingness to travel and work in various weather conditions.
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and tools.
