Position Overview:

The Clinical Pharmacist is tasked with ensuring the safe, precise, and judicious distribution of medications to patients across all age groups. This role involves the formulation and execution of a comprehensive care strategy based on established disease management protocols and standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver pharmaceutical care and advanced clinical assistance to nursing personnel, medical practitioners, and patients.
  • Adhere to all applicable state and federal regulations, as well as JCAHO standards and institutional policies.

Educational Requirements:
Completion of a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited institution is mandatory.
Completion of a Pharmacy Residency is highly desirable.

Professional Experience:
A minimum of two years of relevant experience in a healthcare or medical setting, specifically in pharmaceutical or pharmacological roles, is essential.

Licensure:
Must possess a valid Pharmacist license issued by the Virginia Department of Health Professions.
