Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking a talented Program Manager II to assume a leadership role in our Navy Surface Ship program.

\

The successful candidate will have significant experience in program/project management, including engineering, financial management, risk management, scheduling, planning, and oversight of task progress.

\

Key responsibilities include:

\
  • \
  • Oversight of daily program activities, including engineering, financial management, and risk management.\
  • Supporting the NSWCPD program office in executing their duties, including tracking key schedule milestones, deliverables, action items, procurements, and financial metrics.\
  • Drafting and routing Naval Messages for release.\
  • Collaborating with other teams to achieve shared goals and objectives.\
  • Developing and implementing effective project management strategies to ensure timely completion of projects.\
  • Maintaining accurate records and reports, including financial metrics and performance indicators.\
  • Providing guidance and support to junior staff members and contributing to a positive and inclusive team environment.\
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to ensure continued competence and relevance.\\

Requirements:

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, applicants must possess:

  • \
  • A Bachelor's degree in any technical or managerial discipline.\
  • At least 10 years of experience in program/project management, with expertise in engineering, financial management, risk management, scheduling, planning, and oversight of task progress.\
  • Familiarity with Navy modernization processes, waterfront operations, and Microsoft Office.\
  • A secret security clearance and US citizenship.\
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.\
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.\
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of accountability and responsibility.\
