We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Services Aide to join our team at Hospital for Special Care. As an Environmental Services Aide, you will play a critical role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Clean and disinfect patient rooms, restrooms, and common areas according to established procedures.
- Maintain supplies of paper towels, toilet paper, disinfecting wipes, soap, and hand sanitizer on the units.
- Remove and handle trash and biohazardous waste according to established procedures.
- Answer beeper calls promptly and respond to unit requests in a timely manner.
- Perform routine and terminal clean of isolation rooms adhering to established procedures for infection control.
- Follow Hospital infection prevention procedures as relates to assigned duties and hand hygiene.
- Distribute linen to units and maintain an adequate supply during the day.
- Assist with room set ups or patient moves as assigned.
- Use tools, chemicals, and equipment properly and maintain all safety standards during the workday.
- Report all hazards, defects, or quality concerns to supervisor as they are observed.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Good physical condition.
- Ability to read, comprehend English, and communicate effectively.
This position requires working in a fast-paced hospital environment with frequent exposure to cleaning chemicals, bodily fluids, and other hazards. The successful candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team, with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and demands.
