We are seeking an experienced Energy Engineer to join our team in Honolulu, Hawaii. As a key member of our Hawai'i Energy program, you will play a vital role in empowering our community to achieve the state's clean energy goals.

The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of Engineering fundamentals in mechanical and electrical equipment, excellent communication skills, and a passion for carbon neutrality. You will work closely with our Technical Services & Engineering Manager and other staff to review energy efficiency calculations, perform data analysis, and provide energy advising customized for commercial customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review energy efficiency calculations and models for commercial projects
  • Perform data acquisition and analysis for internal and external stakeholders
  • Analyze billing and utility data using regression models
  • Provide energy advising customized for commercial customers
  • Conduct building energy audits and optimize building operation
  • Develop educational material for building owners and design communities
  • Research emerging energy efficiency technologies

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
  • 2+ years of professional experience in engineering or related areas
  • Proficiency in analytical programming languages (R, Python) and SQL
  • Strong technical, quantitative, and analytic capabilities
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize deadlines
