Key Responsibilities:
As an Accountant, you will be responsible for:
1. Managing university and state accounting systems.
2. Preparing comprehensive financial reports.
3. Executing daily, weekly, and monthly accounting functions.
4. Assisting various university departments with financial inquiries and transactions.
Essential Duties:
Your role will include general accounting support, which encompasses:
- Conducting various reconciliations.
- Generating financial reports.
- Posting journal entries into the accounting system.
- Monitoring cash flow and budgetary balances.
- Extracting data from accounting systems and performing necessary calculations.
This position requires interaction with multiple complex automated systems, thus a strong understanding of accepted accounting principles, governmental accounting, and financial reporting systems is essential.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- The ability to analyze and interpret financial reports.
- A keen understanding of complex financial systems.
