We are seeking a highly qualified Japanese Adjunct Instructor to join our team at Olympic College. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Japanese language and culture courses to students of varying skill levels.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach Japanese language and culture courses, including Japanese I, II, and III
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and improve teaching methods
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of departmental goals
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Japanese language or literature from an accredited institution
  • Previous teaching experience, preferably in a higher education setting
  • Near-native fluency in Japanese
  • Ability to teach a variety of Japanese language and culture courses
Preferred Qualifications:
  • College-level teaching experience
  • Experience with Canvas Learning Management System
