Job Summary

This position involves monitoring traffic at assigned locations to provide a safe student escort across a roadway within a marked crosswalk to an assigned school. The ideal candidate will have some experience working with children and be able to maintain order of students, report any students not following safety or school rules, and provide adult supervision of students before they reach the school grounds.

Responsibilities
  1. Stop traffic to allow students and adults to safely cross the street.
  2. Assist students in crossing the street safely.
  3. Maintain cooperation of motorists at school crossings and report reckless motorists or anyone creating an unsafe situation for students to school management.
  4. Maintain order of students and report any students not following safety or school rules to school management.
  5. Provide adult supervision of students before they reach the school grounds.
  6. Support and enforce district policies and regulations.

Requirements
  • Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade.
  • Some experience working with children.

Work Schedule
This position typically works two (2) hours/day with potential split shifts, and observes the student calendar.
