Job Summary

New England College of Optometry is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Building Manager and Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our Operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, including our historic Back Bay campus and two eye care clinics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain the college's facilities, including the Back Bay campus and two eye care clinics
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of college-owned equipment and vehicles
  • Coordinate and supervise the work of contractors and vendors
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements
  • Provide excellent customer service to college staff and students
Requirements
  • 5 years of experience in facilities management and maintenance
  • Experience with work order management systems and energy management systems
  • Ability to lift 75 pounds and work in small spaces
  • Current MA driver's license and clean driving history
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional nights and weekends

  • Competitive salary range: $63,000 - $65,000
