Job Description

As a Sourcing Manager at Ascendion, you will:

  • Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans to meet internal customers' goals
  • Negotiate agreements and contracts with suppliers, including term sheets, MOUs, NDAs, SOWs, and development agreements
  • Analyze industry trends and technology to identify opportunities for cost reduction, risk minimization, and supply continuity
  • Influence suppliers' manufacturing processes and technology decisions for mutual benefit
  • Prioritize projects to deliver maximum cost reductions and reliable supply
  • Manage cross-functional projects against plans and objectives
  • Drive financial modeling of large and complex deals
  • Evaluate and monitor the financial health of critical suppliers

Requirements:

  • Aerospace/defense/space industry knowledge
  • Experience with people as a buyer, issuing purchase orders, and managing late deliveries
  • Supply Chain program management, including onboarding new suppliers and managing first-time builds
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Documentation experience and technical inclination
  • Excel skills and experience with RFQ, RFI, and RFP processes
  • Leadership experience in selecting vendors in manufacturing/hardware/medical spaces
  • Vendor performance analysis and good reporting skills
