About the Position
The RN-to-BSN Program at Western Washington University is seeking qualified individuals to join our faculty vacancy pool for non-tenure track instructor positions. As a member of our academic team, you will have the opportunity to teach and mentor students in our RN-to-BSN program, which is designed to provide a flexible and accessible education for working nurses.
About the RN-to-BSN Program
The RN-to-BSN Program is a collaborative effort between Western Washington University and local healthcare partners. Our program is designed to provide a needs-driven, community-built model that allows students to engage directly with the public and address issues of social justice. Students attend classes one day per week, allowing them to balance their pursuit of continued nursing education with their busy work, family, and personal lives.
Responsibilities
- Instruct courses in the RN-to-BSN program, including face-to-face and hybrid instruction
- Provide clinical practice experience instruction to students at off-campus practice sites
- Evaluate student performance using standard University evaluation forms
Requirements
- Master's degree from an accredited institution in nursing or a health-related field
- RN licensure in Washington State
- Potential for successful University teaching
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff of diverse social identities and backgrounds
Preferred Qualifications
- Earned doctorate in nursing, education, or a health-related field with at least one graduate degree in nursing
- Successful teaching experience in higher education
- Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines and with community practice partners
