Radiology Imaging Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Medical Professionals. As a key member of our radiology department, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional diagnostic imaging services and ensuring our equipment and systems operate seamlessly.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images as ordered by physicians.
- Update exam information in our Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) and monitor orders for accuracy.
- Prepare patients for diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring their comfort and understanding of the process.
- Clean and sanitize equipment after each use and monitor its function to notify appropriate staff of any issues.
- Manage inventory and supplies, including linen and equipment, to ensure adequate coverage for clinic schedules.
- Review X-ray reports in PACS for accuracy and notify radiologists when corrections are needed.
- Download outside images into the PACS system and create CDs or paper copies of images for physicians or patients as required.
- Assist with the start-up and shut-down of the Radiology Department and possess knowledge of Electronic Medical Records systems to send orders and troubleshoot issues.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience in radiology.
- Graduation from an accredited American College of Radiology program.
- Knowledge of orthopedic imaging.
