Position Overview:

Join our dedicated team at Beverly Radiology Medical Group as a Radiology Assistant Specialist. This full-time role offers an opportunity to work in our outpatient imaging facilities, providing essential diagnostic imaging services in a supportive and patient-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Confirm and assess the referring physician's orders before conducting examinations.
  • Gather comprehensive patient information for the interpreting radiologists, including consent forms, health conditions, medications, and any relevant contraindications. Document all significant patient history in the medical record and/or Radiology Information System (RIS) prior to physician interpretation.
  • Under the supervision of a Radiologist, perform a variety of diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures.
  • Assist Radiologists with procedures such as biopsies and drainages as required.
  • Support in the acquisition of images and the communication of evaluation reports.
  • Review imaging processes, obtain thorough and confidential patient data, make preliminary observations, and relay these observations to the radiologist.
  • Document patient history according to established protocols.
  • Relay the radiologist's findings to the referring physician in accordance with ACR communication standards.
  • Provide post-care instructions to patients as prescribed by the physician.
  • Conduct follow-up evaluations of patients and communicate findings to the radiologist.
  • Accurately document and record procedures in line with company policies and quality assurance standards.
  • Draft discharge summaries for review and co-signature by the supervising radiologist.
  • Travel to various outpatient imaging centers as necessary.
  • Complete all required medical record documentation promptly as per site protocols.

  • Exhibits effective communication and interpersonal skills, showing respect for patients, guests, and colleagues.
  • Has a structured approach to work, capable of understanding complex issues and prioritizing tasks in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications:

  • Valid State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology.
  • State License Fluoroscopy permit.
  • ACLS certification.
  • Certification from an advanced academic program (RPA) or a recognized program (RA) with a radiologist-directed clinical preceptorship.
  • Experience in general fluoroscopy procedures, including gastrointestinal and genitourinary, as well as arthrogram and myelogram procedures.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with healthcare professionals and patients.
  • Possession of a valid CA State Driver's License.
  • ARRT(R) certification is preferred.

Compensation:
Competitive salary range: USD $114,000.00 - $156,000.00 per year.
