Job Summary:

The Tohono O'odham Nation Health Care is seeking a skilled Ambulatory Care Physician to join our team. As a valuable member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to our patients in the ambulatory clinic and inpatient settings.

Responsibilities:

  • Interviews and examines patients, reviews past medical history, and requests and performs diagnostic tests and examinations.
  • Provides care to patients and consultation in the Emergency Department as needed.
  • Makes preliminary diagnosis, recognizing rare and difficult to identify symptoms or signs.
  • Directs, prescribes, or provides a complete treatment regimen or arranges for specialized care or patient referral as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy from the United States or Canadian medical school approved by a recognized accrediting body in the year of applicant's graduation.
  • Completed an approved internship and a license to practice medicine.
  • One to two years of professional experience beyond the completion of formal internship training or progressive experience equivalent in breadth and intensity.
