Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate all elements of banquet and catering events
  • Ensure seamless execution of food and beverage service
  • Prepare banquet rooms in accordance with event specifications
  • Supervise banquet personnel, including servers, bartenders, and support staff
  • Train and mentor new catering team members
  • Maintain inventory of banquet supplies and equipment
  • Deliver outstanding customer service to guests, addressing any concerns or special requests
  • Collaborate with clients to ensure events align with their expectations
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the hospitality sector, such as restaurants, catering firms, or event venues
  • Exceptional guest service skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational capabilities
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in high-pressure situations
  • Strong leadership and training abilities; capable of instructing others and delegating tasks
  • Effective communication skills; able to interact with guests and convey menu information
  • Able to follow job procedures and management directives
  • Basic math skills; proficient in inventory management
  • Must obtain a City of Milwaukee Bartending License

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds for setup, service, and cleanup
  • Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift, including navigating stairs and lifting as required
  • Ability to work in varying temperature conditions
