As a seasoned leader in medical-surgical services, you will oversee the planning, management, and implementation of unit operations to achieve facility goals. Your expertise will drive high-quality, cost-effective patient care through strategic initiatives and collaborative efforts with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute operational plans to enhance department performance and resource utilization.
- Collaborate with physicians to provide leadership and guidance throughout the department.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and services to improve patient care and outcomes.
- Facilitate patient and staff education programs to promote seamless care transitions.
- Lead research projects under the IRB and direct the development of short- and long-range programs to achieve facility objectives.
- Ensure hiring practices conform to Affirmative Action/EEO regulations and provide direction to staff and supervisors.
- Bachelor's Degree (ASN candidates may be considered, but higher education is preferred for Directors).
- 5-10+ years of RN experience in an acute hospital setting, with 3-5+ years of progressive leadership experience (Charge RN, Supervisor, Manager, Director).
- NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Advance Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Registered Nurse.
- Registered Nurse Diploma or Associate Degree.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or ACLS Instructor must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
