Position Overview

Kimberton Whole Foods Inc is seeking a dedicated, full-time Cashier Department Supervisor.

Work Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours weekly, consisting of 8-hour shifts across 5 days.

Required Availability: Sundays 7 AM - 3:30 PM, Mondays 7 AM - 3:30 PM, Tuesdays 7 AM - 3:30 PM, Wednesdays 12 PM - 8:30 PM, Thursdays 7 AM - 3:30 PM.

Age Requirement: Candidates must be at least 18 years old.

Compensation: Starting hourly wage ranges from $20 to $24.

Key Responsibilities

The primary duties of the Cashier Department Supervisor include:

  • Delivering outstanding customer service while serving as a role model for team members.
  • Ensuring the accuracy and security of all financial transactions by adhering to money handling protocols, verifying deposit documentation, and managing cash drawer balances.
  • Coordinating daily Front End shift coverage.
  • Overseeing and managing labor costs for the cashier team.
  • Creating and maintaining the Front End training manual, ensuring it is up-to-date.
  • Ordering all necessary register and store supplies.
  • Keeping the Front End team informed about pricing updates, promotions, and any policy changes.
  • Assigning tasks to Front End team members during non-peak times.
  • Handling special orders and thoroughly understanding the return policy.
  • Collaborating with other department managers and team members as required.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements

Essential Physical Abilities:

  • Full sensory capabilities (vision, hearing, and smell) to read product labels, identify colors, and ensure quality control while effectively communicating with customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to lift, grip, and carry items weighing up to 50-75 pounds regularly, including boxes and other products.
  • Capability to stoop, squat, and kneel to retrieve items from shelves and carts.
  • Mobility to walk short distances to transport items.
  • Capacity for prolonged standing.
  • Work environment involves significant movement, primarily walking and standing rather than sitting.
  • Ability to work in cold environments (coolers, freezers, and back stock areas) and handle cold products for extended periods.
