About the Role:
First Student Canada-Transco is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious individual to join our team as a School Bus Monitor. As a key member of our transportation team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe transportation of students to and from school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor the welfare of passengers while on route and communicate any behavior problems or concerns with the driver.
- Assist in pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus to ensure it is safe and ready for operation.
- Help students load and unload the bus safely and efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with school personnel, students, and parents to ensure a smooth and safe transportation experience.
- Attend all safety and training meetings to stay up-to-date on the latest safety protocols and procedures.
Requirements:
- Good verbal communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and school personnel.
- Attention to detail to ensure the safe transportation of students.
- Early morning availability to accommodate school schedules.
