Job Description:

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant to join our team in Dalton, MA. The SLPA will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide therapy services to students with communication disorders. This role involves assisting with the implementation of therapy plans, documenting student progress, and supporting students in improving their communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the SLP in providing speech and language therapy services to students.
  • Implement therapy activities as outlined in the students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Monitor and record students' progress during therapy sessions.
  • Prepare therapy materials and activities as directed by the supervising SLP.
  • Support students in practicing communication skills in various settings.
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and the SLP regarding students' progress.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or a related field.
  • Valid Massachusetts state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant.
  • Previous experience working with children, especially in an educational setting, is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively as part of a team.
