About the Role

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our General Medicine/Telemetry unit. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients with a variety of medical conditions, including respiratory, gastrointestinal, and dialysis.
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans, ensuring that each patient receives individualized attention and care.
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patients' conditions to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders, prioritizing patient safety and well-being.
  • Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs, ensuring a smooth transition to post-acute care.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Two years of recent nursing experience, with consideration given to military RN experience.
  • Successful completion of prescreen competency assessments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Physical Requirements
  • Requires full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
  • Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
  • Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
  • Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
  • Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
  • Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
