Job Overview: Schneider's Transportation Management division is seeking a skilled Freight Broker to establish and grow a strong book of business by sourcing carrier capacity and negotiating rates to generate revenue growth. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to work with minimal direction to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities:
  • Become a transportation industry expert through comprehensive training and learn how to effectively service customers.
  • Promote state-of-the-art technology by coaching carriers on how to use digital tools to improve their business needs.
  • Exercise sales skills by negotiating with and quoting rates with carriers, prospecting new carriers, and strengthening relationships with current carriers.
  • Work with winning teams across the organization to problem solve and ensure customer satisfaction and effective freight management.


Skills and Qualifications:
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal direction.
  • Outstanding communication skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Excitement to sell digital solutions to carriers and show them how using state-of-the-art technology can help improve their business.
