Position: Zscaler Security EngineerLocation: RemoteKey Responsibilities:

The Zscaler Engineer will be an integral part of our global team, tasked with the management and configuration of Zscaler controls and policies. Responsibilities include:

  • Serving as an escalation point for regional information security incidents and assisting in the response to incidents affecting the region.
  • Conducting daily reviews of reports and alerts to identify Information Security events for further analysis, escalating critical incidents as necessary.
  • Investigating and escalating complex or high-severity security threats or incidents.
  • Ensuring prompt validation and thorough investigation of all identified events.
  • Collaborating with technical teams to identify, resolve, and mitigate security events.
  • Providing guidance on response action plans for information risk events based on their type and severity.
  • Assisting in the containment of threats and remediation of the environment during or after incidents.
  • Developing innovative use cases for future SIEM logic.
  • Participating in cyber threat hunts to support global cyber operations.
  • Assisting with forensic investigations.
  • Contributing to the creation, modification, and maintenance of Cyber Monitoring policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a security operations center or a similar technical security role is preferred.
  • A Bachelor's degree or higher is required. Relevant certifications such as MBA, CISSP, CISM, GCHI, CEH, CCNA, or GIAC are advantageous.
  • Intermediate knowledge of system security architecture and security solutions including IDS, Splunk, and data loss prevention.
  • Experience with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, Network Layers), malware operations, and the current threat landscape.
  • Familiarity with Windows, Unix, or Linux environments; knowledge of Firewall and Proxy technologies; understanding of malware operations and penetration techniques.
  • Experience with advanced event analysis using SIEM tools.
  • Proficient in incident investigation and response, with advanced log parsing and analysis skills. Knowledge of ServiceNow is a plus.
