Covenant Health is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse III to join our Emergency Department team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and contribute to the delivery of high-quality services.
Key Responsibilities- Correlate patient history and support systems within hospital care and nursing home care.
- Assess the needs of patients and their families.
- Develop and initiate plans of care, involving patients and their families.
- Recommend interventions and evaluate plans of care.
- Provide clinical expertise and knowledge to resolve complex patient management and physician problems without supervision.
- Demonstrate competence in performing critical skills, including appropriate delivery of care according to the age-specific needs of the population served.
- Lead process improvement initiatives in the Emergency Department or participate in facility-wide teams.
- Precept new employees or students, or attend formal preceptor workshops, and be willing to precept.
- Review clinical performance of preceptees with unit leaders or clinical instructors.
- Provide four contact hours of educational activities, excluding basic patient education.
- Contribute to the development and evaluation of unit orientation programs.
- Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses, Nursing Assistants, Health Unit Coordinators, Technicians, and sitters.
- Follow policies, procedures, and safety standards, complete required education assignments annually, and work towards achieving goals and objectives.
- Minimum Education: None specified; however, must be sufficient to meet the standards for achievement of the below-indicated license and/or certification as required by the issuing authority.
- Minimum Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience.
- Licensure Requirement: Must have and maintain Tennessee State RN licensure. CPR is required.
