Sentara is seeking a skilled Licensed Behavioral Health Therapist to join our team at Sentara Rockingham Memorial Hospital Medical Center.
Job Summary
The Licensed Behavioral Health Therapist will provide individual, group, and/or family therapy, as well as staff consultation and education. This role requires assessing the social, psychological, cultural, environmental, and financial situation of each assigned patient, and collaborating with patients, families, and healthcare team members to develop and implement plans to address identified needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual, group, and/or family therapy to patients in the inpatient and outpatient behavioral health setting
- Assess the social, psychological, cultural, environmental, and financial situation of each assigned patient
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to develop and implement plans to address identified needs
- Evaluate the effectiveness of plans and initiate change as needed
Requirements
- Master's Level Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Psychiatric Nurse Specialist, or related field
- Preference for certification in Addiction, Screening Brief Intervention and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), etc.
- Currently licensed as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Clinical Nurse Specialist, or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
- Certification, or willingness to achieve certification, from their respective board to perform supervision of Masters level clinicians
- Current HS AED Certification
- De-escalation and physical intervention training within 15 days of hire
