Key Responsibilities

  • Administer medications and perform patient care tasks with attention to the patient's age and clinical condition.
  • Assist with patient assessments and develop rehabilitation nursing interventions under the supervision of the Registered Nurse.
  • Perform timely and accurate Quality Improvement assessments and update the care plan accordingly.
  • Collaborate with the patient and family to develop a plan of care that meets their individual needs.
  • Manage pain effectively and educate patients and families on pain management techniques.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Registered Nurse.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse program.Current state licensure as a Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse.CPR/BCLS certification. ACLS preferred.IV Certified required or obtained within 6 months highly preferred.Minimum six months' Medical/Surgical experience in an acute care setting preferred.Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
