Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Floor Maintenance Technician to join our team at JKV. As a key member of our housekeeping department, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform floor maintenance activities, including buffing, stripping, waxing, and cleaning various floor surfaces.
  • Vacuum and shampoo carpet, and buff hard floors.
  • Operate heavy machinery, such as auto scrubbers and carpet extractors, to strip and clean floors.
  • Keep premises clean and in orderly condition, including hallways, common areas, and resident rooms.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties, including cleaning and disinfecting surfaces, and restocking supplies.
  • Assist residents and colleagues with work orders and other tasks as needed.
  • Transport cleaning products, tools, and equipment as required.
  • Maintain and repair equipment, including disassembling and reassembling for maintenance and cleaning.
  • Assess and report malfunctions of floor care equipment.
  • Understand and follow safety regulations and requirements.
  • Work effectively in a team environment and maintain a positive attitude.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in floor maintenance or a related field.
  • Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance required.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for long periods.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Working Conditions

The associate will be subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions, including noise, vibrations, and atmospheric conditions such as fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, or poor ventilation.

The associate may be required to function in close quarters, crawl spaces, enclosed rooms, narrow aisles or passageways, and other small areas.

The associate may be exposed to infectious diseases.

All associates may be called upon to assist other departments in a declared emergency situation.
