We are Rite Rug Flooring, a trusted name in flooring since 1934.

We have expanded to become one of the largest flooring retailers in the United States, with three different divisions in 16 states.

We service all types of customers, from residential to commercial projects.

Job Summary:

Maintain floors and upholstery products as prescribed by the I.I.C.R.C. standards.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Complete work as assigned.
  • Promote professional image by wearing a clean uniform each day.
  • Maintain assigned equipment and vehicles for safe, long-term operation.
  • Complete work orders and other paperwork necessary on a timely basis.
  • Report daily work progress to scheduler after every job or at night using the voice mail system.
  • Night and weekend work: Call the on-duty supervisor at the beginning of your shift, after every job, and at the end of your shift.
  • Immediately report any vehicle or equipment problems to the supervisor or on voice mail at night.
  • Call in for job assignments daily at designated time (night & weekend technicians).
  • Provide on-call emergency coverage as requested.
  • Consult and maintain personal MSDS book.
  • Perform all work in a safe and professional manner, complying with Safety Policies, Standards of Conduct, and Maintenance Best Practices.
  • Report job problems or inability to complete a job to the supervisor before leaving the job site.
  • Properly use and secure any gas cards, keys, scan cards, pagers, cell phones, etc., issued to you.
  • Make sure you have all chemicals, equipment, supplies, paperwork, maps, etc.
  • Complete all daily audit sheets. Turn them in at the beginning of your shift and at the end of your shift to the assigned supervisor for that day before leaving.
  • Make sure you have proper directions to all job locations prior to leaving the branch.
  • Report any accidents or damage to any property, including vehicles, to management immediately if an injury is involved. Get medical attention. Fill out an accident report and give it to the office manager within 24 hours.
  • Miscellaneous other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A good positive attitude.
  • Dedicated to servicing the customer to foster repeat business.
  • Dependable and reliable, reports to work on time all the time with very few absences.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Be at least 21 years old.
  • Good oral communication skills.
  • Works well with others.
  • BASIC READING AND MATH SKILLS.
  • Has knowledge of and practices safe work practices.
  • Capable of understanding and learning recommended procedures.
  • Acts professionally in all work situations.
  • Has a valid driver's license and abides by Company safe driving policies.
  • Is not under the influence of alcohol or any drug that inhibits the operation of a motor vehicle or equipment.
  • Does not smoke within job site premises or vehicles.
  • Trustworthy to do work unsupervised.
  • No experience necessary.
  • Able to understand assignments and complete work independently.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, do not have any physical or mental disabilities that would interfere with the ability to perform any of the responsibilities listed above.
