Position Overview
As a Lead Cybersecurity Analyst, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding the organization by assessing, designing, and implementing robust security measures and solutions.
Your collaboration with various stakeholders across the organization will focus on all facets of cloud and application security policies, overseeing the implementation and monitoring of security controls, and managing remediation initiatives.
This role requires close cooperation with Information Technology, Cloud Operations, and Software and Hardware Development teams to ensure that security and compliance management processes are both effective and efficient.
Key Responsibilities:
Application Security:
Oversee the code security assessment pipeline and set clear expectations for development teams.
Work in partnership with technology teams to analyze assessment reports and establish remediation strategies.
Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency of security testing processes.
Innovate new techniques to mitigate security vulnerabilities and monitor remediation efforts.
Make informed decisions regarding the use of static source code analysis tools, dynamic application security tools, and manual penetration testing resources.
Provide regular metrics on completed assessments and identified vulnerabilities.
Establish and uphold security testing standards.
Conduct research and develop innovative security tools.
Incident Response:
Manage Intrusion Detection and Intrusion Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS).
Generate and present forensic analyses of cloud workloads (AWS, Azure).
Cloud Security:
Research, develop, and script policies as code for AWS, Azure, or GCP services utilizing YAML, CloudFormation, Terraform, and other relevant scripting languages.
Design and script policies for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scanning, addressing misconfigurations and compliance challenges.
Preferred Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree is required, with a preference for backgrounds in cybersecurity, computer science, information systems, or related fields.
2+ years of hands-on experience in IT Application development.
2+ years of hands-on experience in IT Cloud administration.
Exceptional skills in planning, organization, communication, presentation, multitasking, prioritization, and business analysis.
Extensive knowledge of IT regulatory control frameworks (ITIL, COBIT, etc.).
Strong understanding of information security standards and frameworks (NIST, ISO, SOC, etc.).
Experience collaborating with outsourced organizations and third-party vendors is preferred.
Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and analytical skills, with the ability to comprehend and document complex business process data flows.
Travel Requirements:
Typically requires minimal overnight travel.
