Position Overview:
Avature is in search of a dedicated Mechanical Maintenance Technician to support our operational excellence. This role requires a skilled individual capable of delivering essential millwright expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage actively in all departmental safety initiatives.
- Demonstrate versatility by working in a multi-craft capacity, contributing to team objectives.
- Possess a solid understanding of equipment lubrication types and applications.
- Exhibit effective troubleshooting skills to resolve mechanical issues.
- Interpret and comprehend equipment manuals and schematics.
- Document repairs and inspections accurately.
- Utilize computer skills to access bills of materials, manage inventory, and complete work orders.
- Apply knowledge of rigging equipment and techniques proficiently.
- Measure, layout, and fabricate repair components as needed.
Qualifications:
For a Class 1 Helper:
- A minimum of five years of relevant industrial experience at a journeyman mechanics level, or
- A two-year technical degree in mechanical technology, or
- Four years of pertinent technical military experience.
For a Class A Journeyman:
- A minimum of ten years of relevant industrial experience at a journeyman mechanics or electrician/instrumentation level, or
- Five years of relevant industrial or military experience coupled with a two-year technical degree.
Additional Skills:
Exceptional communication abilities and a willingness to work flexible shifts are essential.
