Job Summary

Empire State is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Solutions Architect to lead the design, implementation, and management of our cloud-based solutions and infrastructure platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, deploy, and manage highly secure, scalable, and available cloud-based applications and supporting infrastructure.
  • Lead the Cloud Application Development team to design, build, deploy, optimize, and debug cloud-based applications, including MS Dynamics and SQL-based databases.
  • Supervise, mentor, and train junior application developers.
  • Evaluate and recommend new and emerging cloud applications technologies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align cloud strategy with business goals.
  • Work with security engineers to integrate cloud-based security solutions into Empire State's existing cloud applications.
  • Define indicators of performance and quality metrics and ensure compliance with cloud-related application policies, standards, roles, and responsibilities, and adoption requirements.
  • Author functional specifications for new and enhanced cloud solutions and infrastructure requirements.
  • Review new cloud initiatives and ensure compliance with defined IT operational and business requirements.
  • Liaise with 3rd party vendors in support of Empire State's cloud infrastructure and solutions implementation.
  • Assist with IT disaster recovery efforts, testing, and documentation.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in an IT-related discipline or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • At least 3 years of experience in cloud computing, with expertise in Azure Cloud Infrastructure components, including networking, security, applications, and data.
  • Experience with MS Dynamics and good communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
