We are seeking a part-time Advanced Practice Provider (APP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to support our inpatient neurology consult service at University Hospitals Tripoint with occasional cross-coverage at Lake West.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with new telehealth visits to consulting neurologists and provide subsequent care to established consult patients.
- Perform patient assessment and assign diagnosis based on recorded assessment data and current scientific and research-based evidence.
- Establish and implement treatment plans in accordance with care paths, protocols, and standards of care.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers in an interdisciplinary approach to provide care to patients and families.
- Order and perform routine diagnostic procedures, develop and implement treatment plans, and monitor the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions.
- Contribute to the educational development of staff, patients, family, and self.
- Provide education through role modeling and in-services to meet identified learning needs and promote professionalism.
- Advance own professional development through self-directed learning, continuing education, and participation in peer review.
- Initiate and maintain positive relationships with patients/customers and co-workers.
