Registered Nurse (RN), ICU
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team at Haywood Regional Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient outcomes.
About the Role
As a Registered Nurse in our ICU, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care to critically ill patients, including those with respiratory failure, cardio/pulmonary disease, sepsis, and diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA). You will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement comprehensive patient care plans, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients, including assessment, medication administration, and monitoring of vital signs.
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans, in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.

Qualifications and Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A current unencumbered Registered Nurse License in North Carolina or from a Compact State.
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
- AHA ACLS and AHA PALS certifications within six months of hire.
- One year of experience in critical care nursing, preferably in an ICU setting.
