Job Overview

Mister Sparky Corporate Store is in search of a dedicated Electrician Apprentice to join our dynamic team. This role is essential for assisting in the repair and installation of electrical systems for residential clients, ensuring the highest standards of safety and customer satisfaction. The Electrician Apprentice will operate under the guidance of experienced Lead Electricians.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Acquire hands-on experience in the electrical trade from seasoned professionals while applying knowledge of NEC codes, electrical theory, calculations, and Ohm's Law in practical settings.
  • Assist in the assembly, installation, testing, and maintenance of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures while ensuring systems are de-energized.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools and hand instruments to troubleshoot and resolve issues in malfunctioning systems and components.
  • Connect wiring to circuit breakers, transformers, and other essential components.
  • Conduct inspections of electrical systems and components to detect hazards, defects, and the need for repairs, ensuring adherence to relevant codes.
  • Perform tests on electrical systems and circuits to verify compatibility and safety.
  • Collaborate with various departments to facilitate accurate service work data transfer.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the company vehicle.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Enrollment in an Electrical Apprenticeship program is preferred.
  • Basic mathematical skills and reading comprehension are necessary.
  • Familiarity with electrical concepts, practices, and codes, including the ability to interpret Electrical Codes and Life Safety Codes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Possession of necessary trade tools.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
